Hi BilCat,
Sorry for any inconvenience caused by my edit. I was taught Welsh throughout school, so was aware of those few words which are believed to have derived from Proto-Germanic origin and referred to another Wikipedia page to check my facts for the Scottish Gaelic, but was unsure how (or if) to reference other Wikipedia pages. Thank you for sending over the links, it is much appreciated. Sorry again for failing to cite sources, I should have known better.
