My RFA[edit]

Thank you for commenting on my RFA. I appreciated the comments and will endeavor to improve with my new sysop status. If there's ever anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to contact me. --Myles Long 15:11, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Successful RfA[edit]

Thanks for your support and kind words on my recent RfA, which I am pleased to say passed with a final tally of 80/1/1. If you ever need any help, or if I mess something up as an admin, please let me know.

My RFA[edit]

The Thames Valley College in Canada is a real institution, but it does not grant degrees. Perhaps you were referring to an institution in England. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 06:32, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Extra-long article project[edit]

Hi, I recently started a new project the: WP:Extra-Long Article Committee; if interested please join. Thanks: --Sadi Carnot 16:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for voting[edit]

File:In-the-dark.jpg

Thank you for voting in my RfA which at 51/20/6 unfortunately did not achieve consensus. In closing the nomination, Essjay remarked that it was one of the better discussed RfAs seen recently and I would like to thank you and all others who chose to vote for making it as such. It was extremely humbling to see the large number of support votes, and the number of oppose votes and comments will help me to become stronger. I hope to run again for adminship soon. Thank you all once more. Wikiwoohoo 19:58, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You helped choose Yeast as this week's WP:AID winner[edit]

Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week Yeast was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help.

Holocaust denial[edit]

The information in that paragraph looked dubious at best to me. If you can find reliable sources for it, feel free to re-add it. Jayjg (talk) 19:15, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chazz88, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:RobTuckwithRogerBushell.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Chazz88. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:31, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chazz88, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Shoenberg.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Chazz88. File permission problem with File:SarahJohnsonMugShotOctober-November2003.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:SarahJohnsonMugShotOctober-November2003.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jay32183 (talk) 23:46, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Shoenberg.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Shoenberg.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
