Gujarati literature

Thanks for your appreciation.. I love Gujarati literature but cant find enough coverage of it on Wikipedia or Wikidata.. So I started creating articles about them. But its quite difficult to find reliable sources and references for them. If you know any good resource, please inform me. And you too have contributed to Gujarati literature, so kudos to you.. New

Thanks again for your appreciation. I creatre article first in Sandbox and than move it to Mainspace. That way article editing history in Sanbox too transferred to history of newly created article. I edit from mobile so it is difficult to go to and fro multiple sources of info. So i collect at one place and write accordingly. I think it is not wrong if article history has such things. In past I used to submit it at AfC but not now. May be I should use two Sanbox to avoid such history.. ;) Regards, -Nizil (talk) 09:16, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your suggestion.. I will di it.. Regards -Nizil (talk) 16:19, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mumbai City FC

Hey, I saw that you recently changed the name of Mumbai ISL team to Mumbai City FC and ya, it was reported that it would be the name but it was not actually official yet. All the article said was that that was the name they wanted the team to be and that they registered themselves with the MDFA... nothing is official yet. You did nothing wrong, however, for future reference I would like you to wait till things are official before actually doing something as big as changing the name. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 19:13, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ya, thats the thing. Re-read the article, it says "The Mumbai franchisee of the new league shall be registered under the name of ‘Mumbai City FC’... “We have received a letter from the Mumbai franchisee and they have requested to be listed in the MDFA under the name of ‘Mumbai City FC’," This means that it has not actually been done yet. It will be named that, yes, but it is not officially done yet. No harm but still, we need to wait till everything is complete before adding on wikipedia. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 20:00, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I guess that is a good reason. Regardless, if it was not us who changed it then someone else would. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 20:01, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

July 2014

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Kick (2014 film) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Sunil Chhetri - Protection

Done! Now we sit back and wait bro. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 20:38, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I was waiting for months to create this article as soon as poster come out. I prepared for it in sandbox too but finally you proved faster.  :) Anyways thanks and regards..-Nizil (talk) 21:00, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Bangalore Titans

Agree. I mean, we could now move it but in this case I would be more okay if we just waited till ISL officially calls them the Bangalore Titans. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 04:18, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 12

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Manhattan (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Los Alamos. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: Club Chennai

The reason that user changed the name to Club Chennai is because on the Indian Super League website that is what the team is called... technically they are not officially the "Chennai Titans". We are not a newspaper, we are an encyclopedia, so we should go with what official sources say and so far those sources say Club Chennai. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 22:40, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I actually tried moving it back to Chennai ISL team but it would not allow me to do so. Club Chennai is fine... we could also move it to Chennai Indian Super League team if you want. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 06:21, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, ya, fine, we can keep it as that for now. I expect them to come out with the name sooner than later anyway. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 06:40, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ISL

Hi, in my opinion, instead of making the talk page heavy, we should start a WikiProject Football/Indian Super League task force, where after much discussion, make the rules how the articles will be designed. This is a better opinion. RRD13 (talk) 08:27, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You can't create a WikiProject for the ISL. ISL is under the Indian football task force. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 01:22, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Official sources for Indian Super League from now on.

Hey, as a regular editor of not just articles pertaining to the Indian Super League but also Indian football as a whole I decided to send you this message. Recently, I have noticed that many sources which, in the past, we called reliable are now a bit off in terms of their reporting. For example, the Times of India reported that Robert Pires and Freddy Ljungberg had signed for both FC Goa and Mumbai City respectively, however, that very same paper, reported that Anelka is in negotiations with Mumbai City. This has lead to days of anons added Pires, Ljungberg, and Anelka as marquee players for these teams on ISL pages, despite the conflicting reports. Meanwhile, Sky Sports, had an article about Peter Reid joining Mumbai City but instead said he signed for Mumbai FC.

This is not the type of reporting I expect to see done and it is because of this that I would like to see us only use official sources. These sources would include the official website of the Indian Super League, the official facebook page (with link), and any of the verified Indian Super League facebook or twitter accounts. So, for example, the Times of India reported that Marco Materazzi had signed as head coach of Chennai but instead of adding Marco like we would with say an TOI article on the I-League we will instead wait till the news is officially verified by the league or team. It is these methods we must use to protect wikipedia's goal in terms of accuracy. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 04:01, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That is why I have informed you and three other editors. We are the main editors of ISL pages. It is up to us to make sure these pages are officially sourced. What I want is that if one of the five of us are on wiki and we see an un-official edit on a page we will act and so fourth. As for the fixtures, I will say that I will not nominate for deletion yet but I did post about it at the talk page of WP:Football. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 06:00, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Indian Super League app

Hey, first off, I also have the app and have seen that the squad numbers are there but what I am wondering is how would we reference them? Numbers need to be referenced technically (and we are trying to be as "technical" as possible with ISL as this is a brand new competition) so unless we can find any online official sources for numbers I just don't see adding them based on the app as practical as of now. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 20:47, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Welcome back

Hey man, thank you so much man. It is great to be back on a more regular basis. SHORT-STORY TIME! I am currently a freshman in college and unfortunately I allowed wikipedia to engulf my life so much in my final high school year that I lost my passion for it but last week I decided to give a look at the Delhi Dynamos FC page and I saw this section and I knew I needed to get myself back on... it just created a light inside me that made me want to come back to wikipedia and work on this new era for Indian football... and thus I am here. Anyway, that is my short-story, thank you again for the welcome and lets just do this bro! --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:19, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also, good job on keeping the pages maintained while I was gone, we make a good partnership! --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:19, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you... not easy but getting used to it! --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 22:51, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Journalism and marketing/management. College... well... why would I say that ;) --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 16:49, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Indian football plan

Okay, so I managed to set this up yesterday. Basically I looked at the Major League Soccer and Premier League pages and what templates, categories, and pages they have because these are the best maintained ones on wikipedia in my opinion. I am probably going to start a massive but slow project from 1 November as that just feels right but I just wanted to let you know. Any suggestions welcomed. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 01:01, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, well, in that case, let me introduce you to User:FootballinIndiaWiki and User:IndianFootballPlayersWiki. The answer to all our problems. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 04:59, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Attendances

Hey, to be completely honest, the way I went about the clean-up was by going back to my previous revision and updating from there with proper sources and what not (and to remove that hideous teams box used in the IPL page) and I just simply forgot to re-add the attendance box... I have nothing against it if we have sources, just a mistake on my part. I shall add it back or someone else can with a source eventually. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 17:57, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Source for clean sheets and assists

Ah, I did not know that. Like I said before, I usually just go back to a previous revision and redo from there so that goes back to previous sources. Sorry about that mate. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 19:32, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
