November 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cjse23. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2008–09 Australian region cyclone season, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Cjse23 (talk) 04:32, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I do believe that you made a mistake as the old system of using names from three separate lists from the different branches of the BoM (Darwin, Perth, and Brisbane) was discontinued as notably shown by how Anika was the season uses the modern list of names shown, whereas seasons before it often reference three different lists and when checking the history of the tropical cyclone naming page, you can clearly see that before the 2008-09 season, it shows three lists. I don't believe a source is necessary considering it is quite easily evident, however if you would like me to provide a source regardless, I will try my best to find one. :) I'm more just surprised how quickly you responded since I made the edit a minute ago, unless this message is automatically generated. Thanks for letting me know regardless :) Corgimations (talk) 04:37, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Lunala 62. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2023 Pacific hurricane season, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 🌀Lunala 62🌀 (talk) 20:25, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Lunala 62 This seems inappropriate that you remind a user that made a mistake they made over 2 weeks prior. I had to scroll through the edit history for December 30, but found nothing and had to go back for nearly 2 weeks to find the unsourced info @Corgimations put. 🍙🌀CycloneIns 07:25, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly, and all it was was that I had added some trivia which is common knowledge and in my opinion doesn't require a citation, since it's easily noticeable that 2023 is by far the costliest season on record. Corgimations (talk) 08:59, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Hi Corgimations, regarding your edit to 1984 Soviet Union tornado outbreak and future edits, it would be beneficial to editors if you can briefly explain your changes in the edit summary before publishing. Especially a major edit like the one you just did; upon first glance I thought it was a disruptive and unexplained removal (the second part is correct). Do everyone a favor as well: when you remove a bad reference, replace it with a [citation needed] tag, it lets fellow editors know the information has to be verified with a reliable source. Cheers. Oh sorry, I was removing a link which I thought was unnecessary but I probably accidentally removed something else along with it. Apologies Corgimations (talk) 01:54, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
