Richard Attenborough

Hi Dcrossle. It appears from a past edit to Richard Attenborough that you know more than me about titles, so I wonder if I can get your opinion on this. I've just reverted someone's edit that named him "Sir Richard Attenborough" because I wasn't sure it was right. Can you help? Thanks, A bit iffy 17:37, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi - You're quite right, he was "Sir Richard" before receiving a peerage but is now styled "Lord (or Baron) Attenborough". It is not however correct to style him "Lord Richard Attenborough", as sometimes appears in the press. Hope this is helpful. --Dcrossle 23:52, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
