DMZ along the Iraq - Kuwait border[edit]

Hi there! I am not a vandal. Just trying to correct an obvious error: the zone extends 6 miles into Iraq and 3 miles into Kuwait. That's 9 miles in width, not 120. 174.28.121.33 (talk) 08:30, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Aman Gupta, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 43.241.146.141. EnormityOP (talk) 15:39, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I cannot just lift that autoblock on the IP. I can, however, advise you to do two things: you can edit from a different IP not so blocked, and/or go to WP:IPECPROXY to request IP block exemption via a separate portal (follow the directions there). — Daniel Case (talk) 06:29, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Columbia-Geneva Steel[edit]

hi there. could you explain why you tagged that claim in Columbia Steel Company? the U.S. Steel Annual report of 1950 lists the 2 subsidiaries (Geneva Steel Co., Columbia Steel Co.) and that of 1951 the named division (Columbia-Geneva Steel Division). Nowakki (talk) 06:38, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article mentioned "Geneval" steel company, which I didn't find in the citation. Looking back, I think it was just a typo that was meant to be "Geneva" steel company. I think the dubious tag can be removed. EnormityOP (talk) 07:15, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
just a typo indeed Nowakki (talk) 10:08, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for copy editing[edit]

Thank you for your recent efforts! I would suggest, though, using something along the lines of "copy editing" in your edit summaries rather than just "cleanup", which is vague and could mean different things to different editors. You can even abbreviate it "ce" or similar per Wikipedia:Edit summary legend § Copy edit. Thanks again, and keep up the good work! — voidxor 12:13, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion. I generally fix grammar, but don't know what to put as an edit summary. I'll be more careful next time. EnormityOP (talk) 12:18, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Consider using the draftify script[edit]

Hi, please consider using the moveToDraft script for draftifying. It takes care of stuff like notifying the creator, and marking the redirect to the draft with a db-r2 tag. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 04:41, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Forman[edit]

What is your policy-based rationale for moving the Bill Forman article to draftspace?

I was not aware that an article had to be "complete" in order for it to be suitable for the mainspace. The topic is notable, the notability is established, and the information given is cited properly.

Bill Forman passes notability of creative professionals with his work as announcer and narrator on various radio programs.

DiamondRemley39 (talk) 10:50, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and reverted your move. Perhaps ask someone at the help desk for assistance with Wikipedia practices. Or take the article to AfD if you disagree with the move. It'll be a keep. Have a nice day. DiamondRemley39 (talk) 10:59, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't make changes to direct quotations, as you did here. Chisholm didn't say "I am not a candidate for the women’s movement", as you had the article claim. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 12:42, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
