Help has arrived

[edit]

You wanted some help, here I am! How can I help you? You can ask your questions right here, and I will respond.--Commander Keane 01:39, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question: I just wondered how the new page I just made "toy lobster" got changed to "toy:lobster". I'm not complaining as I made a mistake when I entered it initially, I just wondered how somebody noticed so quickly and changed it? Thanks. Fekker 01:45, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

People are checking the recent changes. That's how I greeted you as well, because I was monitoring the newbie contributions. I guess somebody noticed that there were two entries for the pages and redirected it. You are being watched, isn't that scary ;) Dr Debug (Talk) 01:49, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thats not scary, it's reassuring. I like it that you remove nonsense as on the Hitler page which is the page that brought me here via Google. Thanks and Goodnight. Fekker 01:53, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To change the name of a page you use the "move" tab, which is to the right of the "edit this page" tab at the top of each article. You need to be a member for 4 days to be given the ability to move a page - so maybe you don't have the move button yet.
If you look in the history of Toy:Lobster, (here is the link, you can also get there by clicking the "History" tab at Toy:Lobster) you will see the edit "Downwards m (moved Toy Lobster to Toy:Lobster)". You could ask Downwards how they fixed the page title so quickly if you are interested. Hope that helps!--Commander Keane 01:51, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Gupi.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Gupi.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 17:06, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of ICUE

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article ICUE, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No sign of any notability. I wasn't able to any secondary sources to cover it, so it fails WP:COMPANY. Article tagged for notability for 2 years.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of The Toy:Lobster Company

[edit]

The article The Toy:Lobster Company has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of ICUE

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ICUE requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Orphaned non-free image File:ICUE-LOGO-PORT-RGB.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:ICUE-LOGO-PORT-RGB.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:16, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
