ROM E-Volunteering[edit]

Hi, Hoda.b! Welcome to the ROM E-volunteering project. I'm Molly McGowan or MJMcGowan on Wikipedia. I oversee all of the e-volunteers. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for becoming part of our team! I look forward to meeting you at the edit-a-thon! 19:12, 12 August 2013 (UTC)MJMcGowan[reply]

Hello ROM E-Volunteer, We have moved to a different wiki project which can be found here: Wikipedia:GLAM/ROM. If you would like to continue contributing to ROM based wikipedia articles please feel free to add yourself to our member list. We will no longer be referring to our project as e-volunteering. Instead, users can feel free to contribute to articles listed under the "tasks" tab. Feel free to contact me via the my talk page with any questions. Thanks --MJMcGowan (talk) 21:55, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit-a-Thon Information[edit]

Hello edit-a-thon attendees! I have posted a list of topics relevant to the Chinese Galleries on the edit-a-thon meet-up page. Please sign up for a subject and if possible try to do a little research on your own. Don’t worry if you have trouble finding information because we will help you with research during the event! A few reminders: Everyone should meet me (MJMcGowan) at the museum’s staff entrance at 8:45 on Friday to sign-in at the security desk. We will then travel to the Far Eastern Library as a group. Please also be sure to bring your own laptop, as the ROM will not have computers available. I would encourage new e-volunteers to go to the Get started section on the ROM’s Volunteer page and watch the two lectures by Wikipedia expects. These videos will give you a good idea about what our project is all about. Please feel free to leave a message on my talk page with questions. 05:42, 15 August 2013 (UTC) MJMcGowan

Please leave any feedback (good or bad) on the event talk page or e-mail it to me at mollymc@rom.on.ca. This feedback will ensure that our next edit-a-thon is even better!!! Sincerely --MJMcGowan (talk) 16:58, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you for already contacting me via e-mail!

Hello, Hoda.b, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Incense burner, middle East, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Incense burner, Middle East. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 07:34, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

October 2013[edit]

Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. You're getting closer and close to being blocked. Stop removing maintenance messages.
