Welcome...

Hello, Jensen25, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

One issue I would like to bring to your attention is the fact that both British and American spellings are acceptable at Wikipedia, and it is considered impolite to change the text of an article from one variant to the other; see WP:RETAIN for more information. Topics closely associated with a particular English-speaking country or a person from an English-speaking country use the spelling conventions of that country, while international topics (such as Vegetarianism) follow the convention of the first major contributor to the article. As you can see from Talk:Vegetarianism, that article is written in British English because that's the spelling the first major contributor used. Therefore, spellings like -ised and labelling should be used there.

Again, welcome! +Angr 20:58, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
