It's hard to tell if they're vandalism though. I've given them a note about citing sources for their date changes. -- King of ♠ 16:43, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)[edit]

Hello, you are receiving this message because you are currently a participant of WikiProject Good articles. Since the creation of the WikiProject, over 200 user's have joined to help review good article nominations and contribute to other sections of the WikiProject. Over the years, several of these users have stopped reviewing articles and/or have become inactive with the project but are still listed as participates. In order to improve communications with other participants and get newsletters sent out faster (newsletters will begin to be sent out monthly starting in October) all participants that are no longer active with the WikiProject will be removed from the participants list.

If you are still interested in being a participant for this WikiProject, please sign your user name here and please help review some articles so we can reduce the size of the backlog. If you are no longer interested, you do not need to sign your name anywhere and your name will be removed from the participants list after the deadline. Remember that even if you are not interested at this time, you can always re-add your name to the list whenever you want. The deadline to sign your name on the page above will be November 1, 2012. Thank-you. 13:29, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Update for: WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)[edit]

Sorry for having to send out a second message but a user has brought to my attention that a point mentioned in the first message should be clarified. If user's don't sign on this page, they will be moved to an "Inactive Participants" list rather then be being removed from the entire WikiProject. Sorry for any confusion.--Dom497 (talk)15:18, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't delete my photos. Here's why:[edit]

Hi, You requested deletion of 3 photos I uploaded last night for the Historic Buildings project. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_uploaded_by_Woopsit

I'm new to helping Wikipedia so perhaps I have gone about the process incorrectly. I would appreciate if you can point out what I've done wrong if you think I have, but I haven't broken any copyright rules that I know of. Here's the scoop: Posting these images was a collaborative effort. Wayne Stewart, listed as copyright owner on my image uploads, is the owner of the property photographed, and himself took all 3 photos several years ago, while he was living in the building. I scanned the images and we posted the images under my account because Wayne doesn't have an account. There is no other way to get images of the building online since it is no longer in existence. Many of the other photos on Wikipedia for historic buildings are also obviously photos taken before the invention of digital photography, so I know this process is acceptable. Since the photos we uploaded are attributed to Wayne, the original photographer, and they are not attributed to me, the scanner, I think they are correctly copyright listed. I look forward to your response. Thank you, -Elise Koncsek — Preceding unsigned comment added by Woopsit (talkcontribs) 16:03, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'd just read through the discussion and was about to put on a {{Closing}} to start writing up my close when I saw that you had closed it! For what it's worth, I was going to close as delete as well. SilkTork ✔Tea time 17:32, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that as the title has been salted after the DRV, HappyTwoBEE's sandbox version at User:HappyTwoBEE/sandbox/BJ3, which was effectively the subject of his appeal, should also be deleted. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 23:37, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
