The net income is not related to the level of debt of a company. Please review net income, income statement and balance sheet for a more detailed explanation. If you want to really underline the level of debt, then you should move that statement to another part of the page. However, I don't think that number alone has any meaning out of context. And by the way the number cited is not even the debt of the company, it's just an assumption of a news article.
