Notability of Karen salmansohn[edit]

A tag has been placed on Karen salmansohn, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. LittleOldMe 17:56, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I had initially tagged this article as not notable but a quick Google search turned up enough references to make it seem a likely candidate for keeping. However, the article will need a bit of work before it will pass muster. I will allow you a few days to add sources and to wikify it. Regards LittleOldMe 18:13, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. I see that you are concerned with putting a hangon tag on the article, don't worry, I have deleted the speedy deletion tag so it will not be deleted. However, Wikipedia articles need to be properly sourced. Your first priority should be to read up about how to reference an article and then to put that into practice by adding the references to the article. Only then should you remove the unsourced tag.
The cleanup tag is there to prompt editors to assist with tidying up the article and to make it meet the standards. Remember that Wikipedia is a collaboration so feel free to ask for help. The easiest way is using "help me" on your talk page as described in the welcome message. Regards LittleOldMe 18:24, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hi can someone please help me how to properly reference my sites on the article? thank you! --Lala73131 18:45, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you have to use the <ref> Your reference </ref> format. I will try cleaning up the article a bit. - TwoOars (T | C) 18:49, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

? I am not sure what that means? i'm really new to this. Thank you for helping me clean it up, though! I appreciate it. How do I go about doing the nowiki format? --Lala73131 18:54, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I edited the article a little. Should be ok now. I removed the speedy delete tag. Might still be up for deletion through AfD (though thats unlikely. :) - TwoOars (T | C) 19:18, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Still needs a bit of neutral POV editing. - TwoOars (T | C) 19:20, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you...how will I know if the article will be deleted? there is so much info online on K.S. that I can't imagine that she is deletable! --Lala73131 19:25, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it is up for deletion, someone will put an AfD tag at the top of that article. And ideally, someone would inform you too, on your talk page. Then you can present your arguments at the deletion debate. At a glance, looks like it will pass if it were to go through AfD. References seem ok. References should ideally be third party ones, like reviews of her books in magazines or popular newspapers etc. - TwoOars (T | C) 19:30, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Check out Reliable sources. - TwoOars (T | C) 19:31, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also Biographies of living persons. - TwoOars (T | C) 19:37, 16 May 2007 (UTC) can someone help me put up biographies on my article?--Lala73131 03:31, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed hangon template[edit]

Hi, I removed the hangon template from the article. As I said earlier, it no longer satisfies the criteria for speedy deletion, so there is no need to add the hangon tag. - TwoOars (T | C) 06:46, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
