Speedy deletion declined: Raptocleidus[edit]

Hello Leictg. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Raptocleidus, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Speedy deletion is done only for the deliberately restricted set of cases list at WP:CSD. If this were a deliberate attempt to deceive, it might come under WP:CSD#G3 blatant hoax, but I do not think it is.

If you think this should be deleted, you should nominate it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, which would start a discussion lasting seven days. The nomination process is rather complex, and I will help you if you like - leave a note below here, I will watch this talk page.

Before doing that, it would be worth getting some more opinions by posting a message on the talk page of WP:WikiProject Palaeontology, a group of editors interested in the subject. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 15:58, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
