User talk:Lesbesquet
I posted this on your other talk page (the ip address one) before I realised this was the talk page of your actual account:
Please revise your essay on the patriarchy in Gender Studies. There are no sources; patriarchy in your essay is poorly defined; much of it is blatantly spurious—e.g., [patriarchy] is predicated on the idealization of the sperm—; and the hyperbole is quite offensive. If you want to find a way to constructively contribute, please contribute verifiable, well set-out ideas. I will leave your contributions for a while, so you or someone else can rewrite it as necessary, but if it is essentially unchanged, I will remove it. Rintrah 06:39, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Blog
[edit]I usually restrict myself to matters of content and don't often venture into the personal realm, but I could not help noticing what you wrote about me in your blog. I must say, I am amused. You characterise me as "Y", and presumably, you insinuate I am nothing more than my sex; thus, you probably do not think the principle of charity applies to me. But if your blog becomes famous, I am one your characters—albeit, a minor one!
If you want to work this out constructively, I am happy to participate. If you want to snipe and make sarcastic comments, that is fine too. Rintrah 07:48, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- I misread your comment, so the above is inappropriate. Rintrah 08:21, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Actually, Y don't know what sex you are, Rintrah. Lesbesquet 23:23, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- You could probably guess it. I will give you a clue: my two sex chromosomes are not the same. I was going to delete my above comment, but comments on other people's talk pages are not meant to be deleted, so I crossed it out instead. Rintrah 11:00, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

This is a message posted on most new users page. It has useful links and explains how you can seek help.
As for policies and how to determine what is ruled in and out, these links explain everything:
Type these into a search:
- Help:Contents: Help page
- Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines: includes "wikipedia is not a soapbox" and links to individual policies. It clearly explains what the policies are and how they work. Here are the subsections which detail policy concerning our dispute on patriarchy:
- And regarding conduct:
