Raju[edit]

I've removed your recent, very lengthy comment at Talk:Raju. It seemed in large part to be a generalised rant about varna/caste etc issues and it was extremely confusing. Article talk pages are intended for discussion of improvements to the article in question and that is best achieved by concentrating on things in a piecemeal fashion rather than dumping 20,000 characters of opinion and sometimes dreadful links in there, such as to blogspot-hosted webpages.

The Raju article has been subject to frequent dreadful contributions from members of that community. A similar thing happened at Nair until the community finally realised that Wikipedia has its own way of doing things and, rightly or wrongly, that is how it is. Your sources need to be reliable, your proposals need to be neutral, your comments need to address improvements to the article and they need to be of a length that doesn't overwhelm people. To be honest, if you are a member of the Raju community then you're starting from an awkward position because the history at that article has already demonstrated numerous instances of sockpuppetry/meatpuppetry and of clearly inappropriate contributions. One or more people from the community often seem to be acting in concert and, of course, community members are almost always extremely biassed when it comes to caste-related stuff. That said, if you wish to somehow rephrase what you attempted to say and did so in a manner that enabled people to make more sense of it then I'm sure you would get a hearing. - Sitush (talk) 00:14, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- No. It is your subjective opinion.

opinion and sometimes dreadful links in there, such as to blogspot-hosted webpages.

- The blog referenced the book I was mentioning.

- This was unnecessary. No ad-hominems, only facts.

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
