Disambiguation link notification for October 24

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of FM radio stations in the United States by call sign (initial letters WW–WZ), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Newburg, Pennsylvania (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

List of radio stations in Alaska updates

While other sources may be more inconvenient to consult than the ones you're using, I wonder if would help in the case of this or other lists. You're listing KZVV as a new station. However, it's the same K-LOVE translator which has aired for many years in Fairbanks at 88.5 MHz. The frequency was moved to make way for a new station at 88.7, which isn't listed. This station is a Spanish-language Christian station. Since my Spanish is quite rusty at this point, I haven't figured out much about it other than it is a network based somewhere near Fresno or Bakersfield. They air legal IDs hourly, which are in English, but all that consists of is rattling off call letters and corresponding cities of license. For whatever reason, they haven't updated that legal ID yet to include the Fairbanks station. Unless K-LOVE also operates this network, the FCC database returned information which appears to refer to K-LOVE's parent organization for this frequency. AFAIK, none of the other non-commercial stations from the 2007 filing window have launched yet. The 2010 Broadcasting & Cable Yearbook carries a listing for KWMB. They were on the air for about three weeks earlier this year. I'm guessing that was to meet deadlines/requirements for their construction permit, yet they haven't officially launched. Since there are going to be a number of non-commercial stations coming on the air in the near future, I wonder if this creates a problem when people hear something on the air, yet that doesn't match what is found in the list, for the reason being that relying upon as few sources as possible returns predictable results which don't necessarily match reality. More: I've been listening to KWDD for the past hour. Since the default Android browser doesn't handle certain simple tasks very well and crashed in the course of composing this message, I've had enough time to figure out that it must be a test. So far, I've heard a stream of 1990s hits with no commercials/legal IDs/canned voices, bleed-over from KFAR, as well as "Always Be My Baby" three times in a row followed by five-second snippets of every song I had just heard over the past half-hour. I wonder if I call in to Problem Corner on Monday and mention this, will they be willing to acknowledge the station before it's officially launched? Anyway, I'd better run, since I'm not sure I can stand any more of Melissa Etheridge. Cheers. RadioKAOS  – Talk to me, Billy 08:19, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
