Hello, Rudy Wendelin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Our intro page provides helpful information for new users - please check it out! If you need help, visit Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on this page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. I see that you've written an article about yourself; it doesn't appear to be any kind of problem in its current state, but you may want to have a look at the guidelines on Conflict of Interest for your reference. Happy editing! JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 21:55, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not an article about myself. Rudy Wendelin is the name of an artist I admire -- and just my pseudonym for Wikipedia!

That's a problem, then- according to the username policy, you cannot use a real name that isn't yours. I'd recommend you file for a username change at Wikipedia:Changing username. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 14:53, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. Thanks.

Rudy Wendelin is dead. Does the name matter then? Michelangelo wouldn't be a conflict...

Proposed deletion of Theodore Salisbury Woolsey, Jr.[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Theodore Salisbury Woolsey, Jr., suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

A search for references has failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources in order to comply with notability requirements. This has included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:

Theodore Salisbury Woolsey, Jr.news, books, scholar

Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Removed Prods[edit]

I removed the prods (proposed deletions) on both of the above. One was a Yale prof and has an NYT obit, both invariably lead to keeping; the other is quite notable and interesting, added some sources and facts on his varied career. Very good new article topics. Welcome again to Wikipedia!John Z (talk) 10:54, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, John Z. I was quite stunned that someone would try to delete a NYT recognized professor and a well-known (in his day) Western adventure novelist whose books had been turned into movies! What is with the people who try to delete articles on real people yet every episode of 'Star Trek' has detailed summary and analysis?!
