George Ritchie Kinloch[edit]

I reverted your change to his death date. It looks to me like his obituary was published on the 21st, but his death was on the 19th. Brianyoumans (talk) 15:55, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

May 2023[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at George A. Walker Arnott. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Editing dates without discussion is really not welcome. Shyamal (talk) 14:44, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly am I supposed to have done to this article, apart from read it? What 'unconstructive edits'? Mr Crockford (talk) 14:50, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know about 'vandalism', but 'The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (2004) gives Arnot's date of death as 17 JUNE 1868 and not 17 April 1868. Also F. J. Grant, 'The Faculty of Advocates in Scotland 1532-1943' gives his date of death as 17 JUNE 1868. Mr Crockford (talk) 17:28, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Overtoun House, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Minister. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:05, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
