Editing and conflict of interest concerns[edit]
Thank you for creating your User page with your conflict of interest statement about Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). If you want to edit any of the Wikipedia articles associated with IUPUI, and you are associated with the subject of those articles, your edits will fall into Wikipedia's "Conflict of Interest" (COI) guidelines. I would encourage you to read these pages to understand what you can and cannot do with pages about companies or organizations you are associated with:
- Plain and simple conflict of interest guide
- What Wikipedia is not
- Wikipedia conflict of interest guidelines
- FAQ for businesses and organizations
If you follow the guidelines, which usually involve NOT directly editing pages but rather leaving edit requests on "Talk" pages, you will find that many editors may help make changes that you are requesting. If you don't follow the guidelines and make direct edits to pages where you have a conflict, you will probably find editors reverting your changes, which can be very frustrating for you.
Please feel free to leave questions here and I or other editors can help. - Dyork (talk) 15:11, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
