I have good news for you- the "Illuminati" as a global conspiracy is just pretend. In fact, it's a story from the 1970s, and it has been very strange to me to see it come back among young African-Americans in the last few years. I've seen a few of my young students very scared by this story. You can read a little more about where this story came from at Illuminati, New World Order (conspiracy theory), and Illuminati in popular culture, if you are curious, but the most important thing is that you can sleep easy- there's no evil society trying to harm you. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, though, so we can only use articles about real things- or fictional things that are clearly described as fiction and well supported by the best available sources. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:44, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
