External link[edit]

You appear to be determined to insert the external link http://www.pathcom.com/~vadco/dawg.html into articles Directed acyclic word graph‎ and Deterministic acyclic finite state automaton. Please do not edit war but first review Wikipedia:External links and then explain at the talk pages of the articles concerned why you think this link is important, relevant and accords with Wikipedia guidelines. Deltahedron (talk) 07:27, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that you are not familiar with certain Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Firstly, when there is a disagreement over whether to include material, policy mandates resolving it by forming a consenus, not by edit warring. Announcing ahead of time that you will continue to add these links irrespective of the consensus among other editors, as you did here could be considered disruptive editing and lead to your being blocked or even banned. The only constructive course of action is to go to the relevant article talk pages and explain why your edits add value to the encyclopedia, preferably with reference to the Wikipedia:External links guidelines. If these links are to your own personal sites or publications, you should also review Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidance on promoting your own publications. Edit war[edit]

Your conduct at Deterministic acyclic finite state automaton and at Directed acyclic word graph constitutes edit warring. In particular, you have reverted other users four times in a single 24-hour period: [1], [2], [3], [4] and [5], [6], [7], [8]. This is a clear violation of the three-revert rule and sanctions are likely to follow. Please revert your own reversions and engage in a discussion at the article talk pages. Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Deltahedron (talk) 09:53, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

February 2013[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit-warring on multiple articles and inserting spam links. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Bbb23 (talk) 16:16, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
