Speedy Deletion - Sarkar Group[edit]

hi Nyashinski, You recently put a speedy deletion tag on Sarkar Group and eventually it has got deleted. I understand that this is the 2nd time it has been deleted. Why is it that everytime this article is put up gets deleted. The article was not meant for promotion as considered by you and others. I know this organisation and is a significant company from a city called Surat, Gujarat. It is more than 4 decades old and has a great history. This was put up on the talk page too but there was no response from you or the administrator.

I was hoping other editors from gujarat could review and updated the article but within 1 or 2 hours it got deleted. Is there something I missed out before writing the article? are all new editor's article deleted in this speedy way? Was is it that I have to do to make sure that the article is not menat for promotion and is encyclopedic?

I look forward to your reply. Thanks Tahu pat (talk) 05:21, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted my edit[edit]

You reverted my edit here - https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=39_Pattern_Webbing&diff=602834202&oldid=602833185

I'm sorry I didn't know I wasn't allowed to do that. Now I know. I'm sorry =( TimeSwimmer (talk) 08:25, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have unreviewed a page you curated[edit]

Hi, I'm Rijinatwiki. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Ping Minton, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you. R!j!n (talk) 16:21, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Foreign language references[edit]

For non-English-language references it is customary to add an English translation of the title and details of the original language. I am not sure why you deleted the parameters rather than choosing to fill them in. - 79.67.249.67 (talk) 18:59, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

removed links[edit]

Nyashinski, you removed quite a numer of links at de:wiki with reference to a global ban on this link. I did not find the the discussion on that so far. Would you please explain. --Pentachlorphenol (talk) 15:18, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

btw, you were reported for possible vandalism at [1] de:wiki. Please comment there. --Pentachlorphenol (talk) 15:22, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I did not wan t to be impolite I just had to leave and do some real-life issues. The vandalism report was declined by a sysop after your explanation. I only had a brief look at the mentioned links so far and I really wonder if they should not be blacklisted globally. I will have a look on this tomorrow. --Pentachlorphenol (talk) 18:54, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No Pentachlorphenol you were _not_ impolite in any manner. It is good to learn that there is someone keeping a sharp eye on possible vandalism to keep Wikipedia clean and safe. The domain is blacklisted on the en:wiki. I don't know much about policies on other language Wikipedias. Nyashinski (talk) 19:16, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of sources with cbronline.com links[edit]

Dear Nyashinski,

I saw you removed all references to cbronline.com from UnixWare. Just in case you're planning to do this for other pages (which might be part of your gnomish activities), I'd like to inform you about the nature of these links.

cbronline.com is blacklisted because apparently it heavily spammed Wikipedia at some point in the past. I'm not sure how bad their spamming was, but apparently it was so bad that no admin will un-list it.

However, cbronline also hosts the online archives of Computer Business Review, a legit computing trade magazine from the late 80s/early 90s, that is one of the few good web sources for the computing industry in this period (although GBooks just put some similar mags on public view, so it's no longer indispensable).

Next time you encounter cbronline.com links, would you please consider checking them and adding them to MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist#cbronline if they're legit, or just drop me a line so I can do it? QVVERTYVS (hm?) 20:00, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I just double-checked and it turns out all of these URLs are on the whitelist. Next time, please check this too. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 20:06, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your well thought reply to my mass removal of links pointing to cbronline.com.Your advice is well noted and I will consult you in the event that I come across more of this. I tend to think I heavily relied on the maintenance tag in most of the en:wiki articles here. Nyashinski (talk) 05:01, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That's ok. Mind you, bots will flag blacklisted links automatically, but they honor the whitelist, so if you see a blacklisted but not bot-flagged link, then it's typically either fresh or whitelisted. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 09:02, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

External links/references[edit]

Hi Nyashinski, thanks for your hard work. A few of your edits have added inappropriate URLs as references, such as here (adding a reference which linked to greencircleseoagency.com) and here (adding a reference linking to marketmongoose.com) - neither link actually sourced the content, and both sites are unsuitable as references in any case. Thanks, --bonadea contributions talk 20:08, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well noted. Mauyahawawa (talk) 12:36, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm new to Wikipedia and I work for Cogeco. I just wanted to update the Cogeco page to better reflect its actual structure. How can I do it? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nancybouffard5 (talkcontribs) 15:58, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have left you a message on how to get started with editing Wikipedia on your talk page. Aiyaiya (talk) 16:00, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! How can I know that my new editing is disruptive? I don't want to break the Wikipedia rules but the information on the Cogeco page is outated and I need to update it.--Nancybouffard5 (talk) 16:03, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please check what you're reverting to. Yahoo Answers is never a WP:RS. --NeilN talk to me 03:34, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nyashinski, why did you add this link here to an instant virtual credt card site? Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 21:28, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Debt relief order. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.

Yet another final warning. Seriously, please just stop spamming Wikipedia. Thanks. bonadea contributions talk 21:23, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
Forget the warning - Nyashinski you didn't respond above and now have surreptitiously inserted another link amid some janitorial editing. It makes you look like you're trying to conceal addition of material. Hence I am revoking editing priviledges until you can explain yourself.
