March 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Kerry Raymond. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Doonan, Queensland, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. It is not a question of the name in Ireland but whether it is the origin of the name in Queensland, a citation making that connection is needed. Kerry (talk) 02:00, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please google
Doonan is an ancient Irish name. You will find all the references in the research done by Shane Anderson at Harvard University O Dunain (talk) 03:37, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is your responsibility to provide the citations, not mine. And, as I have already said, the citation must establish the connection between this Irish name and the Queensland place, just because they have similar spelling doesn't mean it was named after the place in Ireland and the existing origin of the name suggests it is Aboriginal in origin.
