A barnstar for you!

The Graphic Designer's Barnstar
Thanks for your help and offers of help, it's very much appreciated! ——SerialNumber54129 18:59, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
Just to say, that I managed to do it myself, but only with your pointers. I only needed to embed the image files! They must bring some meta info about their original websites or something? Anyway, thanks again for the encouragement to do something new :) cheers! ——SerialNumber54129 19:02, 4 January 2019 (UTC)

OWL Tables Response

The tables amazing, not gonna lie. I guess we can use it, although I can't sure other will agree to it. Also remove division leader on stage standings, since stage playoffs doesn't use the division leader system. And adding a qualification column would be nice too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadowhedge (talkcontribs) 03:52, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

@Shadowhedge: Glad you like it (I took it from NFL season pages, tbh). In regards to stage playoffs, its mentioned here that "Stage Finals will be held after Stages 1, 2, and 3. Eight teams will qualify, including the two division leaders in that stage, along with the next six teams in the stage standings regardless of division," so it looks like stage playoffs do indeed use division leaders. Also, wouldn't the rows of "division leaders", "playoffs", and "wild-card" serve as the qualification information? I could be totally wrong here, as I'm not super familiar with the OWL playoff system, and it wouldnt really be difficult to implement it; I just want to avoid any redundant info.
And yeah, I did ask Masem his thoughts on it, and his concerns were that it may be confusing that the standings are not finalized, so I may try to find a way that more obviously shows that. Pbroks13 (talk) 04:40, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

SVG

Thank you for the re-upload; I'm starting to try to work in Inkscape more consistently with simple logos and I'm still learning some things about the program and how things work with it. Nate (chatter) 02:50, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

I'm glad you made the Big Boy logo transparent. I've not had CS available over the past year or so. However, the "Big Boy" lettering was nice and crisp as vectors where they are now rasterized. The extra 11KB is insignificant. Why don't we stay with the svg? βox73 (৳alk) 20:06, 1 March 2019 (UTC) It's possible that I could obtain a copy of the mascot from Big Boy but more likely that I could produce it using AutoCAD and CorelDraw at some point. βox73 (৳alk) 20:20, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

@Box73: It would be great it we could get a fully vectorized version of the logo, instead of just the word mark. Just curious, are you sure that the logo there is the official logo? Perhaps we could use something like this instead, or like this (bottom of page 7) (vectorized versions are readily available). Pbroks13 (talk) 20:35, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
I'm not too sure, as per WP:SNOW. I think that what needs to be done to help improve Wikipedia has bean done.— Preceding unsigned comment added by TheCookieClicker (talkcontribs)
@TheCookieClicker: I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Also, are you Box73? Pbroks13 (talk) 13:44, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

OWL seasons

Thanks for creating the OWL season pages, they look great (much better than the first iterations). My only request is that you add more secondary sources. Simply using team Twitter accounts and the OWL website do not prove notability, but using additional sources like ESPN, Dot Esports, and Esports Observer should do the trick. JTP (talkcontribs) 16:39, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

@NotTheFakeJTP: Will do. Thank you! Pbroks13 (talk) 17:03, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
Also, per WP:WORDPRECEDENCE, refrain from using flags except in situations such as someone representing their country. JTP (talkcontribs) 05:47, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
@NotTheFakeJTP: I see. I will replace all of them here in the near future. Pbroks13 (talk) 15:51, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

OWL teams uniform

Hello. Pbroks13

Your work on a team's uniform graphic of OWL is so amazing! I'm a translator who translated OWL's team article to Thai Wikipedia but this picture is can use in the English Wikipedia only. So you can upload these picture (team uniforms) to Commons for the other Wikipedia can use it?

Regard, --Slentee (talk) 09:54, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

@Slentee: Thank you! Unfortunately, those images are not allowed on Commons, as they contain non-free logos. You are welcome to save the files and re-upload them to the Thai Wikipedia. If you have any other questions, let me know! Pbroks13 (talk) 13:58, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
@Pbroks13: Oh! thank you. I will upload these images in Thai Wikipedia. I also have a question. Can I translates 'Home' and 'Away' text to Thai? Thanks. --Slentee (talk) 05:55, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
@Slentee: Do you know how to edit SVG files? Pbroks13 (talk) 14:25, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
@Pbroks13: Yes, I can edit SVG files. --Slentee (talk) 15:44, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
@Slentee: Okay great. The text was converted to path for the "Home" and "Away". You'll have to manually delete them and add your own text. Pbroks13 (talk) 15:45, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
@Pbroks13: Okay, Thank for your suggestion. 😊 --Slentee (talk) 16:34, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

For your endless work on OWL-related articles (and for reading my mind on the new roster format I was about to suggest.) Keep up the great work! Best, JTP (talkcontribs) 18:29, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

about edition of placements in OWL 2019

I see you are reverting the changes i'm making, i don't know if you are a fanboy of NYXL but it looks like, since every time i put that team in the right placement (3rd place) you are reverting it to 2nd. But i invite you to see the website and swallow the reality. That team is actually in third place, not second.

https://overwatchleague.com/es-es/standings/season/2019/stage/2 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.107.60.224 (talk) 02:14, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

I see that. But if you'll look at the table, the top two seeds are the "Division Leaders". The Atlantic Division leader is NYXL. SF Shock is in the Pacific. (By the way, Let it Reign!) Pbroks13 (talk) 02:18, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
OK, but if that's the case, the position number should not be changed. NYXL is 3rd, not 2nd — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.107.60.224 (talk) 02:24, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
I don't think so. The seeding is such that the Division Leaders get seeds 1 and 2 in the stage playoffs (which is what really matters). I may edit the table to reflect that more clearly, instead of using "#". Pbroks13 (talk) 02:29, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
i think the order should reflect what is in the blizzard website. and if you want to show the current division leaders, just put them in a different color. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.107.60.224 (talk) 02:43, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
and consider adding to the template one line for "best win/lose strike" for the teams, to leave the best/worse record reached for each team, like that W12 of NYXL. no in the stage table, only the big one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.107.60.224 (talk) 03:53, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

There is zero vandalism involved by any side here. See Template talk:Infobox settlement#Display type if name is not set. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:08, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
~ ToBeFree - how not? 1) inserting deleted tempates into Holding cell, 2) removing the number update.. TW-abuse by that user. 78.55.22.17 (talk) 21:15, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
78.55.22.17, I can definitely understand your frustration. "Abuse" and "vandalism" imply deliberate, intentional disruption. It is extremely unlikely that this is the case. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:18, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
@78.55.22.17: "Mistake" would be the word I would use. I made an assumption that all your edits were disruptive, which I realize was not the case. I apologize for that. Pbroks13 (talk) 21:24, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

Physicians in the United States Congress

Hi Pbroks13 96.95.35.83 got blocked for some resion I posted a question a wile ago on the talk page of the Physicians in the United States Congress witch I will provide you here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Physicians_in_the_United_States_Congress#Change_of_name_of_Page Thanks:96.36.68.29 (talk) 17:57, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Expendables Edit

I cannot believe I have to even explain why I edited the page. It's clearly someone's wish list and no actual source was given to suggest that these actors are confirmed to be starring.--146.198.77.210 (talk) 02:17, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

I just looked at edit history for 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals. How do you get the sources from, and are you the main contributor of the Wikipedia article?, also are you going to DVR it or watch the eSports match on the 29th at 19:00 UTC? Ryan (talk) 02:36, 22 September 2019 (UTC)

@RDKTSR: Hi, I find my sources using google news, mainly, and yes, I have made most of the contributions to the article. I'll most likely watch the game live. Pbrks (talk) 02:59, 23 September 2019 (UTC)

Template:Infobox sports team

Hi, just to let you know your edit had some knock on effects as a number of uses of this template just have a description of the uniform rather than an image. I just noticed as a lot popped up on CAT:MISSFILE today. Not sure if this is expected and the descriptions should be removed, or the template needs changing. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:11, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

@KylieTastic: Yes, thanks for letting me know. I overlooked a parameter when I made changes. It should be fixed now. Pbrks (talk) 21:49, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!
