Printing press[edit]

Thanks for your work in removing the graffiti on this page. It might be worth having a look at this page: Wikipedia:Vandalism if you want to do this, especially the advice on how to revert a page is useful. --DannyWilde 09:33, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

- Thanks for the info! Especially on the revert thing. That's much simpler than finding it and erasing it. :) RobertM525 06:30, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

EB1911[edit]

Hi, your right, it is a problem not only with EB1911 (the poster child) but a lot of other older works (see all the articles that draw from the Jewish Encyclopedia from 1906 for example). I added a section to the "Origins of the bias" in Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias about EB1911. And with the Project Gutenberg project to transfer the entire EB1911 online (see Encyclopedia Britannica Eleventh Edition) there is good justification to keep Wikipedia and EB1911 separate (at least verbatum copy). If you want to help reduce some of it, take a look at the edits for user Pwqn -- I reverted his edits back to about September or so, but there's a lot more that needs to be done. And that's just one case of mass text transfer. Anyway, I see your in school your probably better off focusing your time there in the big picture than chasing EB1911 vandals.-- Stbalbach 15:55, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

LOL. Yeah, while I support your quest, I can't actively take much of a part in it myself. :) Working full-time + going to college = no free time. Well, okay, add World of Warcraft in there, and Wikipedia's reduced to a hobby. :) RobertM525 05:19, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Rogue (World of Warcraft)[edit]

Thank you. ^^ Havok (T/C/c) 12:25, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to be doing all the classes as soon as I have the time for it. They are all in need of clean up. People should start understanding that WP isn't WoW Wiki. :) Havok (T/C/c) 06:04, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:WoWBloodElfNPCs.JPG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:WoWBloodElfNPCs.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Races in Warcraft, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Races in Warcraft is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

Shaw's "Black girl in search of God"[edit]

Robert:

  • What sort of additional references do you have in mind?
  • What requires verification?
  • The article is linked to the George Bernard Shaw bio. What other link is needed?

Wugo (talk) 02:29, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Shaw specifies that biblical statement, "Seek and you shall find." as the basis for his story. Are you saying the reference to the source should be removed? You can read the story, if you wish, at http://www.wikilivres.info/wiki/The_Black_Girl_in_Search_of_God

Wugo (talk) 03:12, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

This is absurd. The biblical citation is solely for the convenience of the readers. You may edit it out if you think it is objectionable. What other references, verifications and links do you suggest? Wugo (talk) 14:04, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Your suggestions may very well be valid. Can you implement them? I am rather busy at the moment. Wugo (talk) 21:57, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 18[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Pringlea antiscorbutica, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cress (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
