Flying ace[edit]

Look, I know you meant well in your last edit of this page. This is just to explain about 100% overclaiming - what this actually means is that total claims are 100% greater than actual losses (twice as many) - this is not uncommon. But sometimes fighter pilots (for instance the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain) claim three, four, or five times as many kills as they actually make. This would be counted as 300%, 400% or 500%. So you CAN have more than 100%. --Soundofmusicals (talk) 12:21, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was actually the one to revert that. Aside overclaiming (which happens more due to mistakes than fraud, tho fraud isn't unknown), you get multiple claims for the same kill, which inevitably leads to overclaims. TREKphiler hit me ♠ 01:58, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a bit of fun with this one - by all means let me know what you think!!--Soundofmusicals (talk) 14:41, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
