East-West Dichotomy[edit]

You have stated that Thorsten J. "Pattberg is the author of the book "East-West Dichotomy" (2009)". However, the World Catalog has no listing for such a book. Please provide verifiable publishing information (publisher, city, year and ISBN number). Thanks for your advice. In this case, the "Self-published sources" policy may apply in good faith for the book The East-West dichotomy (2009).

With his insightful book (www.east-west-dichotomy.com), Mr. Pattberg contributed to the academic discourse and this difficult topic, and he is indeed an expert on the East-West discourse. As you have correctly pointed out, self-published sources are permitted only in cases of an established expert whose whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications. Your links show nothing to establish Pattberg as an expert -- where are all his publications? Where are the acknowledgments by actual experts? Where are the citations of Pattberg's work by other experts? Your links indicate he is nothing more than a minor staff researcher. He doesn't appear to have ever held a professorship nor even a doctorate -- which is a bare minimum for someone at an academic institution. — CactusWriter | ^needles 16:15, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
