Not sure why the piece about the Plaza Accords was removed from the currency war article. Thats a fairly essential part of the historical context needed for our readers to understand the topic. Its standard history that the US called the conference as they wanted to devalue, and as far as I know no major economist disputes the fact that a devaluation can help with a trade deficit (though some say it will only have limited effect and that a focus on exchange rates isnt the best way to address imbalances - these views are included in the article). Anyway, thanks for the input as both your challenges have resulted in improvements, and once again welcome to Wikipedia! FeydHuxtable (talk) 14:25, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
