Cherilyn Eagar/Gulbrandsen connection[edit]

Greetings! I see you're alleging that Cherilyn Eagar is the same person as Cherilyn Gulbrandsen. What sources do you have that show they're the same person? Since Bacon is her apparent birth last name, and there's no mention of a first spouse, I'm unclear at the connection. —C.Fred (talk) 22:31, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} Hello, Sorry, didn't properly source that information. Based on her earlier claims of authorship, Mrs. Bacon Eagar claims to have written articles published under Cherilyn Bacon Gulbrandsen, and employment under the same name. There is reference to her and her first husband in the following article "http://www.deseretnews.com/article/401006/"and in Utah County property records is listed as a FKA "http://www.co.utah.ut.us/Dept/Record/LandRecordsandMaps/document.asp?avyear=1980&aventry=34136" What would be the best way to cite this and what type of information would be necessary? Take care!Sunpoppi (talk) 23:57, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, the sources you provided do indicate there was a Cherilyn Bacon Gulbrandsen and a Cherilyn Joy Gulbrandsen FKA Cherilyn Joy Bacon, but I failed to find any definitive evidence(although I would assume they are the same person as well). Any more sources? Blodance (talk) 00:10, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} Okay, so my best efforts have come up with the following pages that link to her children and ex-husband. Would this be sufficient? The following site refers to her missionary son and her ex-husband. http://www.dearelder.com/index/inc_name/web_page_display_home/folder/ElderScottGulbrandsen/logged_in/DearElder.swf/DearElder.swf This site refers to her daughter specifically by name http://www.redstate.com/cherilyneagar/2009/09/30/youre-not-being-serious-are-you-a-special-message-from-jen-gulbrandsen-cherilyn-eagars-daughter/ And at the following site the photo is clearly a younger Bacon, the biography lines up with the one presented currently on her profile, and her children are referred to as Gulbrandsen's. http://www.meridianmagazine.com/people/040809caregiver.html. Thoughts? Sunpoppi (talk) 04:17, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think any of these sources are valid (not 100% sure), they seem to be self published. The relevant policy is here: WP:Reliable#Self-published sources (online and paper) --MWOAP (talk) 16:07, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Cherilyn Eagar[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Cherilyn Eagar. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cherilyn Eagar. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
