Welcome![edit]

Hello, Susangrover, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Citing personal communication[edit]

I note that in your article on Anne E. Pusey, you cite "A. Pusey, personal communication, February 14, 2017." Personal communications are not a valid source at Wikipedia, because other editors cannot view the material to verify its content. Also, we try to avoid using primary sources because people can and will say things about themselves that are not necessarily true. For this reason, we rely on secondary sources that perform some type of fact checking. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:06, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
