Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Lanny A. Breuer, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. Censorship? Heil![edit]

Wow. The truth is unconstructive and needed to be removed?

A Senator called for his resignation.

I am sad if the truth upsets you.Turtlewaxingmycar (talk) 17:51, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:Turtlewaxingmycar. Please comment on the content and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. Calm down, dude. If you think he made an error, why don't you ask him calmly why he reverted it on his talk page. Usb10 plug me in 17:57, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's funny[edit]

First of all, I fail to see where I have attacked anyone.

Second of all, I consider it an attack on me that the person erased verifed, fact-supported information and called it "unconstructive".

Thirdly, it's not a question of calming down.

Erasing material like that is rude.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Lanny A. Breuer with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. WikiPuppies! (bark) 18:06, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you think he did something wrong, go ahead and ask him, although I think you would be much more likely of getting a good answer if you would calm down first, and read these three policy pages: WP:NPA, WP:BLP and WP:NOT. Also keep in mind that if you keep this up, an admin can block your account at any time. Usb10 plug me in 18:10, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh come on, you know that to do so is pointless[edit]

That's thoughtful of you, but I don't have a lot of time to argue - and he erased my talk page points (twice).
There is a censorship ban on the entire topic of "fast and furious" - a DOJ scandal - on Wikipedia. This is clear, it's documented, and commenting on Lanny Breuer's page (which has no mention of F&F) and the immediate erasure make clear that there's a policy-statement on WP about the matter. This is how Wikipedia is, and you know this better than I do. Really. Turtlewaxingmycar (talk) 18:15, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:10, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of discussion at the Administrators' Noticeboard[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.Edinburgh Wanderer 18:21, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Messaged a response to your talk page.
In the event that he auto-erased it (because he erased all my other messages) I asked Mr. Scotland to please link to the *specific* discussion which he presumes is related to me, i.e. I have just-been accused of being a sockpuppet-troll (which I'm not). Turtlewaxingmycar (talk) 14:48, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
ps: This is why Wikipedia sucks, and why I nearly never post here.

not censored[edit]

The article Operation Fast and Furious was created last April, so it's not a censored topic. What you've unfortunately experienced was an overreaction to a less than perfect edit and escalating overreaction on both your part and the responding editors. Personally I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt as you're the new editor and this place is a byzantine maze of policies, guidelines, essay, practices ... what I can wp-this and wp-that. You really want to tone the rhetoric quickly, because editors tend to react to that much more than the content. As far as content -- I've added a couple statements to the Breuer article. From an encyclopedic standpoint, we can't say Breuer lied -- ate best we can say Grassley said he lied. living person articles are the most highly scrutinized ones due to some historic screw-ups here. Ok, that's fine. I appreciate your adding to the article. I really don't have time to edit it right now (have other things to finish), but I appreciate your time and good-will - also I'm glad to hear this isn't a censored topic. I suggested on the ANI-board to add a 2-pronged "redirect" with the words "Fast and Furious" so that one prong goes to "F&F: the movie" and the other to "Operation F&F". Noting that at-present, "F&F" only directs to a movie, hence (with the talk-page comment from last August) my presumption of censorship.
Sorry for jumping to conclusions. But Wikipedia "can be" 3-horsemen apocolyptic.  :)
Glad that wasn't the case here. Have a nice day.  :) "Turtlewax" 194.230.159.69 (talk) 16:10, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not finding where you're suggesting a link Fast and furious references the gun thing at the top of the page, and The_Fast_and_the_Furious_(disambiguation) lists it under "Other" (Once you've been here too long it's hard to realize how things appear to new users) Nobody Ent 16:15, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page[edit]

This is just a polite request as per the ANI for you not to post on my talk page. I understand your views but there is no need for further escalation of this. Let's just go back to our own things. Hopefully with the help offered to you will be able to get the article statements into it whilst following the guidelines we all must follow for biographies.
