== Welcome to my talk page ==

Welcome! If you want to talk to me just leave a message here and I'll get back to you! However I do ask that if I make a mistake or something- not to be unwikipedian or anything, please tell me the mistake first. Then give me a manual or something. Thanks!--VampireKen (talk) 23:30, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I should add that if you get me so aggravated over something or you think you rule a Wikipedia article I will not sound nice at all. Even if I still don't like you I will apologize the next day.--VampireKen (talk) 04:42, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

I do ask everyone not to act like they rule an article. let other people edit.--VampireKen (talk) 04:20, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Removed category from your Roughdraft Articles 2 and 3

I removed the category from those rough drafts of an Amityville Horror template. I hope you don't mind as it appears that you have already updated the actual template. LA If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 14:38, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Halloween link and title

If the page is being used for article information, then that is how it should be used. It shouldn't be used as "Hey, here's a new website". That's almost throwing a promotional tone in the face of the reader. If the page has no useful information, then just put it in the EL section of the franchise page until it does (if it does). As for the title, I've tried to keep it as simple "Upcoming sequel", as there is too much crap floating around that this is called "Halloween 2", "H2", "H2: Halloween 2"...the fact remains that we really don't know what the title is because Zombie hasn't finished the script. "H2" was just something Zombie did when he created when he first created that teaser poster. Everyone has jumped on the poster like it's the answer, but that was something he created when he first pitched his sequel idea, and at the time he didn't have legal right to create a poster saying "Halloween 2" (that title isn't owned by the Weinstein brothers, at least not at the time Zombie was working on it).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:20, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

This is the interview that she confirms that only early trailers had her voice, but they replaced it after that. So, this would be something for a different section, and not for general mentioning as if it's a consistent thing. It's like the early Spider-Man trailers that had the World Trade Center towers, but were scrapped once 9/11 occurred. Worth mentioning somewhere, but not in the capacity that it's something that was present the entire time and will always be present. Since someone who edited it is claiming that Palmer's voice was never used, it definitely wouldn't fit to leave it as a "fact". Maybe if there was some "Controversy" section, or something similar, then you'd put it in there.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:33, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
I was referring to the "External links" section (at the bottom) of the article. The thing about the title is that they can get the license to use it, just as Warner got the license to use "Friday the 13th" from Paramount.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:40, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure what they did in H20. I thought that was Pleasance, as his real life death kind of meant that they no longer needed his permission. As for Palmer, we have her saying it was her voice they used, but this guy that edited it all saying that it never was. It's one of those things where you literally have to say "he said, she said".  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:50, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Right now, let's keep it on Pamela's page, since it directly relates to her. I'm in the process of trying to come up with some type of marketing information for the new film's article and if I can get enough info then it would probably be worth mentioning the mini controversy over Palmer's voice.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:52, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
I remember when it came out originally, and I thought that they reused Palmer's dialogue from the original film. One may never know the truth, as anyone involved will want to protect the company if they did use her.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:53, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, according to Neil it was impossible for them to use Palmer's actual voice because it's tied to the music of the film. As far as why did they use it, it was probably to entice fans. It was the same reason that the full trailer that was released later was modeled after the original trailer for the 1980 film, with the countdown (countup) of each of the deaths/scares.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:07, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Got a link to his blog? As for how much info...it depends. If we start getting into the realm of 3 or 4 full paragraphs, then it's time to separate. If we only really have about 2...then it's probably fine to stay a bit longer. As for what happens, I think the mask they showed months ago was indicative one one that had been shot. Remember, at the end of the film Michael grabs Laurie's wrist. He could have be able to push it high enough just before she shot him that it only hit the top of his head (which might not actually kill him).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 18:37, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
The mold was what I was talking about, but I didn't realize it was only in January. You can clearly see a big tear on the top right (our left) of the mask. It's all guesses, because no one knows what Zombie is doing right now (probably not even him). As for the blog, the problem with come with the ability to cite the page. If he doesn't create individual pages for each post that we can link to, then it will be difficult to cite, as the page will eventually be cycled around and we'll lose the information. Hopefully, if he updates anything other sources will make note of it and we can use them instead.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 19:00, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
The way it appeared, the blog has a scrolling news reel, which means that eventually the information will cycle off the page (if that is how he has it). He does not appear to devote a second page to each individual announcement, which makes it difficult to cite in the long run.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 19:22, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Possibly. We'll have to wait and check on actual reports when they come out. Zombie's good about giving us information, we'll just have to wait and see how much he gives us this soon into production.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 21:17, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
At the moment, nothing. Worst comes to worst, we can ask for full protection of all of the various titles that have been used to create pages for the film.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:17, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

I've seen it. I always watch SuperHeroHype.com, DreadCentral.com, and ShockTillYouDrop. I think that's just her being seen to after the events of the first film.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 21:13, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Might be best to wait till he gives a full statement. If you want, you can add it in as a note that Zombie remarked that he was going to make the new film as realistic, ...., and .... as possible. Up to you. Don't use the MySpace link, use the one from ShockTillYouDrop.com.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:41, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
I'd say not, because the article says "a photo" and not "these photos" or "these four photos". He may not have released them beyond his MySpace page. How many photos he releases is not a big deal to note. Really the only reason to note this one was because it was followed by some chatter by him, and it was the first photo released.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:24, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Archiving

Hi VampireKen, I noticed you accidentally put your October-November talkpage archive in mainspace, so I've gone ahead and moved it to User talk:VampireKen/October-November. I'm not comfortable messing around with other people's talkpages, so I'll let you fix the link yourself. Have a nice day! AnturiaethwrTalk 20:21, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Looks like I did the same with December. I think it is square now, but feel free to move it as needed. Sorry of we ended up moving things around in circles. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 20:26, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
