Response to Sangwine's edits[edit]

Three edits were made in good faith. One of these edits (not several) included deletion of a reference.

The first edit[edit]

A statement was removed which had a citation referencing a page which had no information supporting the statement. You have restored this and therefore need to provide a reference which supports the statement. The source may be reliable but is not a legitimate source of information regarding the statement. Please read the page referenced to confirm the fact that it does not support the statement and then provide a correct citation. Otherwise this statement should be deleted.

The second and third edits[edit]

It would be useful if you could desist from promoting the link to the university repository. First, if you have an association with them then you probably shouldn't be adding their publications to articles; I'll place further details below. Second, we're not here to promote these authors or their work so linking to their social network presence is not our job especially when their university makes a more reputable space available. Third, you should not be edit warring to add these links or make any other edits; please see WP:RBI and WP:EW. Edit warring when you have a conflict of interest is particularly poor taste. I am not promoting their work I am making it possible for their peers to access them to discuss their work. Academics should be available to discuss their work, don't you agree?

I should add that these two and myself are all former employees of the university and now retired.

I am very comfortable that I am complying fully with all of the above 'Warnings'.
