Notice of edit warring[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wong Jeh Shyan ‎. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 07:36, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This link: http://www.globaltrustmarkalliance.org/press/113004.asp is 404. Did you happen to read wp:KDL? The last time it was logged was 2008. BTW: Most of the time when one gets reported to wp:EWN, they stop editing that article. Jim1138 (talk) 08:22, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jim1138: You got the wrong link. It was updated to this https://web.archive.org/web/20080416122452/http://www.globaltrustmarkalliance.org:80/press/113004.asp in the Talk page. THere is no mention of wong. And are you doing something about his fake PHD? Wikiblazers (talk) 08:26, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And, the part about "Do not edit war even if you believe you are right."? Jim1138 (talk) 08:47, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

1) "Affiliations and awards" Wong was conferred his honorary doctorate by Dadabhoy University > this university was banned by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Check it https://dailytimes.com.pk/159160/hec-bans-two-universities-karachi/ Under the same chapter, "He is a practicing architect and registered with the Board of Architects, Singapore. He is also a corporate member of Royal Institute of British Architects and an associate of American Institute of Architects. He was nominated and appointed the Chairman of International Architects Salon from 2003 to 2006. He was also a member of the jury for International Tianjin Music Hall Design Competition. Wong also served as the head of organising secretariat for Singapore E-Global Awards of 2003 and 2004. " > No sources to support this.

2) "China Ventures" "Wong set up environmentally friendly cellular lightweight concrete factories in Qingdao and Chongqing, but divested after the Chinese partners failed to get further funding for their project. Operating out of Shanghai in a UNESCO heritage building by the Suzhou Creek, Wong incubated a portfolio of corporate entities in Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Xiamen and Fujian provinces. The loosely grouped investment initiatives are known as 'The Cross-Straits Portfolio' focusing in Fujian and Taiwan projects. He also known conceived and invested into the Black Diamond Digital Studio, a corporate video production house in China focused on high-end animation, digital visualising and 3-D modelling. Wong teamed up with a group of his best students from Shandong in mid-2013 coming together to set up Level 26 Venture Capital group which was launched with much fanfare over Global Entrepreneurs Roundtable in the city of Weifang, China.Wong furthered his interest into lifestyle and fashion industry and procure heavily from South Chinese cities." No source to support this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiblazers (talkcontribs) 08:03, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

3) Bahrain, Middle East and North Africa ventures Wong had co-founded Middle-east Transit Corporation (METRANS), together with Sheikh Saud bin Salman Al-Khalifa and Abdul Wahab Al-Zaid. The Bahrain-based company extends its arm over the entire Middle-east. The company had arranged for the facilitation of Monorail proposal into the City of Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, working with MTrans Monorail of Malaysia. He had also financed MTrans Monorail's planners to explore the feasibility of Monorail Urban Transit into cities of Amman (Jordan), Istanbul and Ankara (Turkey), Karachi (Pakistan) as well as Cairo (Egypt). Wong aimed to move his Middle-east base away from Bahrain to Qatar.>No sources to these.

4) SOURCE of https://web.archive.org/web/20080416122452/http://www.globaltrustmarkalliance.org:80/press/113004.asp that supports the paragraph below

Wong took over the leadership of CommerceNet Singapore in March 2000 as the Chief Executive Officer at the end of dotcom era, where he led its rebranding as 'CNSG', incubating companies that are undergoing transformation prior to seeking a listing on international stock exchanges as well as firms that had failed to secure normal funding from the open market. <--He is said to learn and mastered his craft during this time.--> He also worked in the trust mark certification market in Singapore, rolling out CaseTrust before the internal split in CASE that led to a split between CNSG, Retail Promotion Centre and new CASE management. The split subsequently led to the launch of ConsumerTrust, BusinessTrust and PrivacyTrust in the trust mark market deployment programme. The programme was incorporated under the TrustSg programme. The programme subsequently made it to be part of Asia-Pacific Trustmark Alliance and Global Trustmark Alliance initiatives.[40] > THe only source supporting this paragraph in source 40, https://web.archive.org/web/20080416122452/http://www.globaltrustmarkalliance.org:80/press/113004.asp this link never mentioned about Wong at ALL

5) Malaysia Ventures Wong's associates include founders of Yee Hup; Kinta Switchgear; and especially MTrans where he helped the company in breaking into regional urban transit markets, particularly in Middle-east and South Asia.[citation needed] The same applies to Bufori Motor Car company[24] in Kepong, Malaysia. Comment: Source 24 made no reference to Wong, nor a valid source to support this paragraph.

6) Malaysia Ventures His early Malaysian ventures had ended in failures, including the early dotcom days when he invested heavily in the website www.ipoh.com under Ipohcom and Ipohcom Technologies. Critics[who?] had labeled him having too emotional attachment to his hometown that clouded his otherwise cutting-edge investment judgment, typical pattern in his early ventures. He chose Penang and the less popular Kuala Terengganu to build his Malaysian business bases instead of Ipoh, including Penang Hill and the Cameron Highlands, where he developed a series of tourism-based investments. Comment there is no source to support this statement.

Please check the sources that i questioned. There are serious issues of:- 1) Invalid sourcing of the content and most information never refer to Wong. Even if there is, it had been misrepresented and assumed on a large basis. 2) Most of the sources only mention about the projects or notable people, but never mention about Wong

You could take a break from the article[edit]

You might be able to avoid a block for the edit warring report if you will agree to make no further edits at Wong Jeh Shyan for seven days. You would still be able to post on the article talk page. Let me know. EdJohnston (talk) 20:11, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I will live to fight scammers another day. Thank youWikiblazers (talk) 04:01, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I will refrain from editing at the mean time. Look up at this fraud please and ensure that his article is clean. Its full of shit i tell youWikiblazers (talk) 04:03, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You've been warned for edit warring per the closure of the report. Your zeal for fighting what you consider to be a scam has to defer to the requirements of Wikipedia policy. Since User:Jim1138 is very experienced, you might consider trying to reach agreement with him. EdJohnston (talk) 16:03, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@EdJohnston: Many of those sources are old, 404, and their archives seem corrupt. So, I don't know if the content is made up or factual. Jim1138 (talk) 19:52, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
