A cup of coffee for you![edit]

Thanks for your work correcting British dates. A particular bugbear of mine. Cheers. FruitMonkey (talk) 20:59, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You recently changed the date format on an article on my watchlist, and I'm now curious; I live in the UK, and yet I have never in my life encountered anyone who "corrects" a date as such; other standards of entering the date have never been criticised or pointed out (and I am still at school studying English Literature at A-Level, so I'd assume that someone would). Would you be so kind as to show me where you are finding this written standard? Thanks in advance. Benjitheijneb (talk) 18:29, 8 March 2013 (UTC) EDIT: This is not for the purpose of the article: I checked, and your alteration is indeed more in line with the Wikipedia manual of style. However, the claim of it being a standard "British" style is a new one to me; I am asking purely out of interest. Benjitheijneb (talk) 18:32, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
