Võnnu is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Tartu County, Estonia. it's located about 21 km (13 mi) southeast of the city of Tartu. Võnnu is the administrative centre of Võnnu Parish. As of 2011 Census, the settlement's population was 552.[1]

Võnnu village and manor were first mention ed in 1341 as Wenden.[2]

Võnnu St. Jacob's church was originally built 1232–1236, but later has been rebuilt several times. It's one of the largest churches in Estonian countrysides.
