Unused template for about 20 years now, used to play hangman way back when. I don't see this ever being used again. Proposing Deletion. CoconutOctopus talk 15:34, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per nomination. Currently used on only one page (a user's talk page archive). Not likely to be used again; see Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Hangman and Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiHangman Tournament. If such a template is later needed in article space, one can easily be created from scratch to better meet those needs. PleaseStand (talk) 17:49, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Out of copyright in[edit]

The result of the discussion was merge to Template:Copy to Wikimedia Commons in. From the few comments all in support of the merge proposal, this seems like an uncontroversial proposal where there is no opposition to this merge. (non-admin closure) Awesome Aasim 06:16, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Propose merging Template:Out of copyright in with Template:Copy to Wikimedia Commons in.
Both are templates used for similar purposes to mark when a file falls into public domain and is eligible for Commons; 'Out of copyright in' is for files that are PD in the US but not the source country, and the other ones for other reasons. They also add non-free files to the same categories.

I think the combined template should be used for instances where the file is PD in US but not the home country and files that will be PD in the next few years (say, the next 5), and possibly, files that are PD in the source country but not the US (e.g. works by Orwell) or instances where the file is expected to be PD but is not (including URAA or other copyrights that have been restored) Xeroctic (talk) 14:07, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not opposed to the merge. I admittedly wasn't aware {{out of copyright in}} provided the same functionality when I created {{copy to Wikimedia Commons in}}. Ixfd64 (talk) 18:31, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support merge. No need for duplicated functionality. -- Whpq (talk) 23:42, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, and use the title "Copy to Wikimedia Commons in"; the other title is too confusing. Consider renaming Category:Out of copyright by year and subcategories as well. Wikiacc () 02:44, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Same reason as Template:Hassium compounds; none of the links in the template have an article; seaborgium compounds are just not that notable yet. 141Pr {contribs} 11:26, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Too few articles - out of the ones listed, only one of them has an article; hassium compounds are not notable yet. 141Pr {contribs} 11:15, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Too few articles about this series to justify a navbox. ★Trekker (talk) 02:32, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
