Nice and clean. Not too many duplicate links. Featured stuff & About/How-to up top is good. (Though I've been convinced that doubling the search box isn't a good idea.) Clear about English Wikipedia being one of many (= good).

One of my pet peeves is that the word "featured" is not self-explanatory. Most languages use some variant of "excellent" as far as I've seen. You could put a very small bit of text at the top of the first 'featured' box explaining that 'featured' means best or excellent, as decided on by the community. Also, I'm not sure why articles always get one box and images another. One single box could be "Featured content" --> mini-explanation --> articles --> image(s) --> perhaps occasionally "other".

I think that DYK, ITN and On this day don't need images every day. Just when there's a particularly good/appropriate/interesting image would be fine. Thanks for the opportunity to comment. --Hordaland (talk) 03:35, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
