Broaden focus[edit]

I have some reservations about focusing quite so heavily on superhero comics and creators - I really think it shoud be broadened beyond that to some extent. And yes, I plan to make nominations in the future in support of this goal. Lokicarbis 16:19, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't aware we were focusing so heavily on superhero comics and creators, but rather the original nominations grew out of consensual discussion from a number of people with varied interest. Note the page itself refers only to a highly influential creator. However I have amended it to also include a highly influential work, one I missed and which I thank you for reminding me of. John Byrne article[edit]

I don't understand the logic behind nominating John Byrne. The article has been protected, and virtually all content has been deleted by a combination of John Byrne himself and jimbo Wales. In other words, it isn't a terribly good article at the moment, and it can't be improved. Might I suggest withdrawing the nomination for the moment only?Vizjim 14:52, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

To-do list[edit]

I think, beginning with the next collaboration, it might be helpful if we discuss certain goals for the article at the beginning of the collab fortnight and add a To-do list, so we have a clearer overview of what needs to be done. Also, that way the needed improvements would stay visibly on the talk page if we don't achive everthing in the two weeks. --Fritz S. 19:36, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I wholeheartedly agree. I will amend the collaboration page accordingly. Hiding talk 19:42, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that the "What If...?" page could a little improvement. Maybe show the issue and volume numbers? Kidney Stone 09:25, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mind you, I'm new and I don't know a whole lot of code. Any help and directive suggestions as to what pages need to be greatly appreciated. Kidney Stone 09:25, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination problems[edit]

I've been trying to put up a Nomination for Supervillain (the page is one-half to one-third as long as the Superhero one, something I think should be addressed), but I keep getting weird error messages when I try and make the Nomination. A lil' help? Dr Archeville 13:41, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have the same problem,i want to put up a nomination for The Darkness (comics), Spawn (comics) and Toxin (comics) but every time i type in the code it said to type in it wont work properly. Toxin 10:15, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with Frank Miller nomination[edit]

Hi, I followed the instructions to nominate Frank Miller, but when I put the nomination candidate sign up on the Frank Miller talk page, the link to the nomination page is red Talk:Frank Miller. Am I doing somthing wrong? Iron Ghost 20:05, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Community Portal[edit]

Alan Moore is still being listed as collaboration of the month on the Community Portal. Iron Ghost 01:20, 7 March 2006 (UTC) Additionally, we're 6 days past the last deadline...? Mikkel 09:33, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Still active?[edit]

It seems this section of the Wikiproject hasn't been touched in almost 2 months, is it still active, or on hiatus? --SevereTireDamage 19:09, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I would say it's on hiatus. Hiding Talk 19:22, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Basically the way it stands, anyone who wants to can take the initiative can start the next collab. I have done it twice; it'll take you a solid half hour to make a the changes and alert some likely participants. When someone does, count me in. ike9898 13:10, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Collaborators Wanted for Tintin articles.[edit]

On my User page [User:Sauvik.Biswas] you can find the list of articles that are related to Tintin. Most of these (except few main articles like Tintin itself) are poorly written/organised. If you wish to be a part of the project, please feel free to contact me on my talk page. [Click Here to leave me a message.]

A small to-do list and a format has to be chalked out before starting off with editing the pages. I have already prepared a Template and used it to show chronology on the right hand side of each Tintin Book. --54UV1K 12:01, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to do Harvey Comics in general[edit]

Can I nominate more than 1? Like Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost and Wendy the Good Little Witch. The write-ups for these need work and I'm not an expert. - Peregrinefisher 02:59, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Adventures of Tintin is up for a featured article review. Detailed concerns may be found here. Please leave your comments and help us address and maintain this article's featured quality. Sandy 22:17, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New template![edit]

Hello, in an attempt to help collaborate across COTW projects, I'm making a template that displays the current picks of each. I've made a template for you to be able to add the name of the current article {{ComicsCollab article}}, which you can also use to transclude in your other templates so you don't have to update those manually. You'd only need to update this new one to populate the others on rollover. The new template that will display your current pick is {{COTWCurrentPicks}}. plange 03:04, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So whats the new Collab??[edit]

It is Dec 6th, are we going to be working on peanuts for this month also, cause i am cool with that.Phoenix741 18:11, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think we're currently working on getting Peanuts to FA status now (see Talk:Peanuts), as well as working on Superman, for similar reasons. - jc37 18:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Superman is a FA. Also i was hoping we could do something with marvel, I know alot more about that.Phoenix741 18:23, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I see Marvel, the FF, and the Hulk listed as potentials. Why not start with one or more of those. You don't need an "official" collaboration, to work on articles, after all. : ) - jc37 14:31, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Community Portal[edit]

This collaboration appears to be inactive so I am removing it from the community portal. If this becomes active again just add it back.--Banana 04:42, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
