Allestree Woodlands School (formerly Woodlands School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located on Blenheim Drive in Allestree, Derby in the East Midlands of England.

Admissions[edit]

The school is for pupils aged 11–18. About 210 students enrol at the school in any one academic year, with about 1240 in total.

History[edit]

The school was opened as Woodlands Secondary Modern School in 1956. It became a comprehensive in 1975, and was awarded specialist status as a Technology College in September 2004.[1] The school converted to academy status in 2012.

Academic performance[edit]

The school gets good results at GCSE, being the fourth best in Derby LEA. At A level, it is excellent and the second best in Derby.
