Link articles to their foreign-language counterparts

Do you know any languages other than English? If so, you also can contribute to the Wikipedia in those languages, or translate articles from that Wikipedia into the English Wikipedia. Do not forget to include an interlanguage link when you translate a new article. To help coordinate with other language Wikipedias, you can join the Wikimedia Embassy. Hi

I recently added a link to the list of Java APIs, which you immediately deleted.

I don't understand the logic behind deleting such an external link.

If external links were not allowed then fine, but they appear to be allowed by the presence of other external links.

On the Java APIs page there are numerous commercial and non-commercial links which are clearly assumed acceptable by yourself and other moderators.

I've seen this kind of moderation from Wikipedia before and the rational does appear flawed. It appears a certain number of external links are allowed but no more.

Allowing come links but not others is a strange rule and contrary to free expression.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below. Jac16888Talk 13:54, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

This account is not "only" being used for vandalism as Jac16888 claims above. Any poor quality edits were merely the result of misunderstandings and ignorance of policy. I am here to try and improve this site, not to make it worse. I have learned now what I can and cannot do, so I will never again perform bad edits.

Decline reason:

Simply not believable given the long string of sockpuppets this account is part of. Page locked. Mangojuicetalk 15:19, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
