I also removed two bands I had added to said list that were not mentioned in any of the three citations i had provided. I must have added them based on information from a fourth citation I chose not to include for some reason, and then forgot to remove those bands. I also removed a sentence that is based on information from the band's Allmusic bio, which is not very reliable. undo Tag: Visual edit

In Bruce Pavitt's Dec 1987 Sub Pop column in the Rocket, he writes, "And even though Green River, The Melvins and Feast broke up, there's still big momentum going with new bands like Mud Honey and Doll Squad ready to pick up the slack." That issue has calendar listings starting with 12/18, which means he wrote that at least in the middle of December 1987, if not sooner. undo Tag: Reverted

Mark says this in the documentary "I'm Now" and Steve in his autobiography which was published this year. Get over it. Mark, Steve, and Dan were getting together in late 87, but it wasn't until they met with Matt Lukin on the first day of 88 to jam, that they formed the band. This is well documented. undo Tags: references removed Visual edit

"Then Mark called me the day after Halloween, when they broke up, and said, “Hey, you should move back down here and we should start another band.” And I was like, “All right.” I didn’t need a lot of convincing. I was burned out on school. We started Mudhoney in December of ’87." https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/green-river-seattle-grunge-oral-history-pearl-jam-mudhoney-783878/ undo
