Presumably it was intended to refer to selling off the Family Channel. Checked Wayback for other archived SPLC articles, but there were none on this subject. Assumed archiving error. Haven't found an alternative yet.

IFAIK, there is no limit on how lucrative a charitable endeavour can be, provided all the profit is spent on the charity's declared purpose. However if, for example, you want to spend the profits on yourself, you can buy a share in it from the charity, keep the profits and later sell your shares for a profit, as here
