When the ground connection of the grounded power conductor (aka neutral) is damaged a human can still receive a fatal shock carried by the conductor that is not interrupted. undo Tag: Visual edit
  • curprev 20:3720:37, 12 March 2024 PolychromePlatypus talk contribs 54,344 bytes +390 The description of the device as detecting current reaching ground was incorrect, it detects that the current isn't flowing out and back, not where its going. These devices are not designed to protect equipment, only to reduce the severity of injuries. The word "isolate" is misused, only the powered conductor is interrupted the grounded (power) conductor (aka neutral), the equipment grounding (aka PE, safety) conductor are not. The injuries not protected against were poorly stated. undo Tag: Visual edit
