Two ships of the United States Coast Guard have borne the name USCGC Eagle, in honor of the eagle, any of the various large birds of prey of the family Accipitridae, including members of the genera Aquila and Haliaeetus, marked by a powerful hooked bill, long broad wings, and strong, soaring flight. Four ships of the United States Revenue Cutter Service, an antecedent of the Coast Guard, had also been named "Eagle".
- The first, Eagle (1925), was a 100-Foot patrol boat, commissioned in 1925. She was decommissioned in 1936 and transferred to the U.S. Navy.
- The second, Eagle (WIX-327), is a Gorch Fock-class barque, launched in Germany in 1936 as Horst Wessel. She was taken as a war prize by the United States, and was commissioned in 1946 into the Coast Guard. She is still in active service, harbored in New London, CT.
