Anneliese von Oettingen (1917 - 2002) was an influential ballerina and ballet teacher.

Born in Berlin, Germany in 1917,[1] von Oettingen moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1947, where she became an influential ballet teacher.[2] Anneliese was one of seven ballet teachers in the Cincinnati area who came together to form the Cincinnati Civic Ballet, now known today as the Cincinnati Ballet Company.[1]

Anneliese originally trained in the Russian ballet method under the instruction of Eugenie Edvardova in Berlin, and later under Nikolai Legat and Nadine Nicolaeva-Legat in London.[1] She died in Clearwater, Florida in 2002.[2]
