Commodore Jobair Ahmad is a one-star-ranked retired Naval officer of Bangladesh. He joined the Bangladesh Naval Academy as an officer cadet on November 1, 1979. He was then commissioned in the engineering branch of the Bangladesh Navy on May 5, 1982. Jobair served various ships and establishments during his career in the Bangladesh Navy. He served as the chief engineer on various naval ships and frigates, the executive officer in BN establishments, and the naval provost marshal in the Chattogram Naval Area. He held command positions, which included Area Commander Dhaka and Commanding Officer, in different Naval establishments.[1]

He also served at the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat as the sergeant-at-arms. He served as dean of various faculties and vice chancellor at the Bangladesh University of Professionals. He served as the Deputy and Additional Director of the Special Security Force (SSF) during his early career. He got a commendation for the highest bravery from the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) and a commendation from the speaker of the National Parliament for a commendable job at the SAARC speaker's conference in Bangladesh.[1]
