Meppadiyan is an Indian Malayalam-language [drama] film written and directed by Vishnu Mohan under the banner of Unni Mukundan Films.[3] The film features Unni Mukundan, Saiju Kurup,[4] Aju Varghese, Anju Kurian,[5] and Kalabhavan Shajohn in the lead roles.[6][7][8] Filming took place in Erattupetta in late 2020. The film released on 14 January 2022.[9]
Premise
Based on true incidents, the film focuses on the life of a commoner named Jayakrishnan (Unni Mukundan), an automobile mechanic and garage owner hailing from Poonjar who is a devouted Hindu youth whom the Muslim-Christian minorities are trying to deceive and trample, and how he overcomes them. The film also mentions Seva Bharati's great deeds and breaks fourth wall at various stages.
Movie puts forward a heartbreaking truth story of this youth. [10][11][12]

Production
The film was shot around 48 different live locations across Erattupetta and Pala with an ensemble cast.[20] Filming began on October 26, 2020, in Erattupetta.[21]
Release
The release of the film was postponed several times due to COVID-19 pandemic in India.[22]
The film had a theatrical release on 14 January 2022.[23]
