Mohammad Abbas Afridi (born 5 April 2001) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[3]

Biography

Abbas Afridi was born on 5 April 2001 in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He is the nephew of former Pakistan international cricketer and fellow fast bowler Umar Gul.[4][5]

Afridi made his List A debut for Habib Bank Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on 6 September 2018.[6] He made his first-class debut for Habib Bank Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 3 October 2018.[7]

In December 2019, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[8] He remained leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in the tournament.[9]

In February 2021, he joined Karachi Kings.[9] He made his Twenty20 debut on 3 March 2021, for Karachi Kings in the 2021 Pakistan Super League.[10] In October 2021, he was named in the Pakistan Shaheens squad for their tour of Sri Lanka.[11]
