Global Politician is an online magazine of politics that publishes analysis of current events, as well as interviews with politicians, government officials, diplomats, book authors and terrorists. It was founded in October 2004 and is based in New York.

Description

The Editor-in-Chief of the Global Politician is David Storobin, a New York attorney. Before founding the Global Politician, Storobin was the last editor of the Eurasian Politician, which was published out of Finland beginning in May 2000.

The magazine's stated goal is to go beyond traditional news found in media to publish about events missed by mainstream media. It publishes 5-7 op-ed pieces daily, and several investigative reports and interviews per month.

The Global Politician claims it avoids paranoid conspiracy theories, self-promotion, personal attacks, but does allow politically-incorrect opinions so long as they are not hateful.

It solicits articles for publication on its web site, but stipulates that the authors must be notable. It defines this as:

  • Be a published author or journalist; or
  • Have an advanced degree (Master's, Ph.D., J.D. or equivalent) in a related field.
  • Be a recognised expert who has been interviewed in the media or otherwise recognised for his expertise.
